I had seven May Day baskets that year…it was a good haul.

Candy was a rare thing back then, there may have been a cookie or two in those May Baskets. Jelly Beans maybe. or maybe those Circus Peanuts. I always picked out the black jelly beans first. Also, you're supposed to write what you know, and I didn't know anything. And the things I was starting to learn were not things I wanted to write about as long as my mother was alive. So it took me a little time to find my calling. It's been a year today that Justice left us.

Justice always loved Libbey, and I think she ignored Howie because to her he replaced Libbey.

Howie of course loved Justice regardless and was licking her face as she passed. You can just see the tip of her tongue sticking out. It always did to varying degrees. I love how she looks blissful sleeping with her pal. I received the nicest note from Lap of Love this morning, a remembrance of her passing. This is the Dr's practice that came to our home and showed such tenderness and empathy during the euthanasia. So today I celebrate Justice and Libbey and Gadget and Buffy and Sargeant and Murphy and Sunday and Bandit and Napolean and Bozo and Magic and Samantha and Chester and Mac who loved unconditionally and make it impossible for me to live without an animal to love, be loved by, and to care for.

The Control Freak paper toy is based on the original PlayStation Controller - first gen era, before the Dual Analog and DualShock. I was pleased with how this turned out, it only started as a die cut greeting and i built it up from there, i design like this quite a lot. The circle in the middle was quite fiddly but i like how it turned out, I used the new large scalloped circles, I think they are called "Big Scalloped Circles" and on each scallop popped a pearl, and in between each scallop popped the tinyest MS butterfly punch out, folded! The K & Co Paper is double sided to the butterflies along the top are the ones that punched out with the tiny one and i just flipped them over! Magic! The lacey trims were just from my box of lace bits but i think fitted in well, the paper used for the background is not lots of scraps but actually a printed sheet, loved the scrappy look to it though! Hope you like it and don't think its too shabby chic!! Love L xXx.
